Sir Jim Ratcliffe and other senior management at INEOS held an end-of-season review where it was decided that they would hand another shot to Ten Hag to bring back the glory days. The manager was subsequently given a two-year contract extension and it seems that the 54-year-old has got the backing of his players to turn around a difficult situation at Old Trafford.
WHAT ONANA SAID
In an interview with Onana was asked about Ten Hag and he stated: "I'm not the one who decides if the manager stays or not. Obviously, we had a difficult season with Erik last season but we ended very good, so the club made the right decision. For me as a player, and on behalf of all of us, we follow him and the instructions of the manager. We are with him, 100 per cent, and it changes with the new goalkeeper coach. It is very positive."

INEOS continues to back Ten Hag with key signings in the summer including Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee. They have been linked with Bayern Munich's Noussair Mazraoui as well, with the former Ajax manager looking to overhaul his defensive setup ahead of the new Premier League campaign. Despite the lavish spending, it has been reported that INEOS does not expect a top-four finish in 2024-25 and will continue to support as the manager takes baby steps to achieve sporting success.
