da betsul: According to reports from The Huddersfield Daily Examiner, Huddersfield boss David Wagner is prepared to listen to serious offers for striker Nahki Wells.
da bet7: That may come as some surprise to Championship fans; only last season, Wells bagged ten goals to help fire the Terriers to the top flight via the playoffs.
However, Wagner believes the club has brought in serious firepower this summer, hinting that Wells may therefore no longer feature in his plans.
As quoted by The Examiner, he said…
“Everybody can see how high the quality is of the strikers we’ve brought in. There is Mounié, Depoitre and we still have Elias Kachunga and Collin Quaner who are able to play there. This isn’t the best situation for Nahki and, of course, he is the name who is on the market – so we will listen if there is some serious interest in him.”
Of course, Leeds and Huddersfield are hardly on friendly terms as Yorkshire rivals and the Whites already boast their own potent front-man in last season’s top scorer Chris Wood.
But having the New Zealand international and the Bermuda-born forward in attack, who Transfermarkt value at just £4.25million, would seriously boost Leeds’ promotion credentials for the coming season.
So, Leeds fans, should your club agree a transfer deal with their rivals, or should they avoid a swoop for the Bermuda international? Let us know by voting below…
