Cheikhou Kouyate and Patrick van Aanholt have taken part in BT Sport’s ‘Take a Lap’ segment, in which they were filmed strolling around Crystal Palace’s training pitches answering a few simple questions. Some of these questions involved neutral topics such as ‘best sports movie’ and ‘kittens or puppies’, although BT Sport did ask a few Crystal Palace-related questions to the duo, both of whom are valuable members of the first-team.Van Aanholt has made 18 Premier League starts this season, scoring two goals, while Kouyate has made 23 appearances in total, scoring once and assisting once.
What did they say?
When Van Aanholt was asked who the biggest teacher’s pet at the club was, the pair began giggling before Kouyate said: “Mama (Mamadou Sakho)” – the left-back then confirmed this.
Then, the pair were asked who works the hardest in training, to which Kouyate simply replied: “Macca (James McArthur)”.
Another Palace-related question was asked, this time being which player was most likely to wear Crystal Palace pyjamas – Kouyate again said: “Mamadou Sakho”, with Van Aanholt laughing and nodding in agreement.
Appears to be a good team chemistryÂ
Throughout the video, both the Senegal international and the Dutchman were constantly laughing and joking while clearly enjoying themselves.
We cannot speak for the entire Crystal Palace squad, but judging by the way in which these two have such evident camaraderie and feel comfortable enough to poke fun at their teammates, it does seem as if there is a nice chemistry amongst the team.
Someone’s got to own them: Who do these incredibly unwanted PL records belong to?
There was also another hilarious moment in which Kouyate was asked ‘kittens or puppies’ and proceeded to reply “kitchen” having clearly misheard the question – if one was to assume who the biggest joker at the club was, it seems like the former West Ham man is right in contention if this video is anything to go by.
