Leeds have signed goalkeeper Elia Caprile as a contingency plan for if Kiko Casilla is banned in the wake of his racism charge.
Unfortunately, we’re still none the wiser as to if or when the Spaniard’s case will be resolved. The FA have gone silent on the matter after announcing that he had been charged over two and a half months ago.

We don’t have an official timeframe on when Casilla’s case will be concluded, but it could be sooner rather than later based on a case that has been described as very similar to the Spaniard’s.
Indeed, Phil Hay stated the following:
“The case is very similar to that of Forestieri at Sheffield Wednesday who ended up with six games, so I think we’d be looking in that ballpark,” he said on The Phil Hay Show (13/12/19 53:00)
If we look at the timeline of events in the Italian’s hearing it shows that the Spaniard’s situation could be resolved soon if the FA are working in the same way.
The Sheffield Wednesday man was initially charged for using racist language in a pre-season game against Mansfield Town on June 6th 2019, but after a lengthy process, the attacker’s ban wasn’t confirmed until September 5th.
That’s just under three months for the FA to consider and conclude his case, and with Casilla’s initial charge being on November 4th, we’re almost three months on from that point.
If the FA are working at a similar pace to their handling of the Forestieri incident, then we may hear about the Leeds man’s fate in the next few weeks.
In other news, Leeds’ chances of loaning this Premier League striker may have just increased.
