da bwin: According to The Liverpool Echo, Everton are interested in signing Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
da bet7k: The newly capped France international is impressing a number of clubs throughout Europe after a string of impressive displays for the Ligue 1 outfit.
While the Everton midfield looks particularly well stocked at the moment, the arrival of Ndombele at Goodison Park could signify the beginning of a new era at Everton. This could be a case of The Blues moving up a level.
Alongside the potential of on-loan star André Gomes signing a permanent deal in the northeast, Everton are shaping up to have one of the most formidable midfields in the Premier League should both men be playing under Marco Silva next season.
As a consequence, this would leave the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and James McCarthy out in the cold at Goodison Park, but that is just an inevitability in football. While Tom Davies may remain, there will be some players that are surplus to requirements. This happens at any club that show any ambition however; there will always be players that become deadweight.
With Gomes quickly establishing himself as a star at Everton, alongside Idrissa Gueye and Ndombele, that is a midfield to rival some of the very best clubs in England. Already the 21-year-old Ndombele is being compared to compatriot N’Golo Kante, which is one of the greatest compliments a player can be given at the moment. Partnered with the Portuguese and the Senegalese duo, and Everton fans have a lot to look forward to.
Of course, this is only a rumour, and Gomes is not guaranteed to stay at Everton, but it is nonetheless a prospect that the Everton faithful will desperately hope for.
